Dr. James Ellis is a 2013 graduate of New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Ellis grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his life he was very active in sports, including wrestling and track. Dr. Ellis considers chiropractic care essential to everyone, especially those living an active lifestyle.

He has undergone extensive training in multiple soft-tissue techniques including instrument assisted soft-tissue manipulation (IASTM), NIMMO technique, and myofascial release. He enjoys treating an active population with spinal manipulation, extremity manipulation, flexion and distraction, and rehabilitation. He believes in a progressive approach that includes three stages of care: 1.) Acute phase- focusing on getting you out of pain 2.) Rehabilitation Phase- Focusing on stretching and strengthening areas in order to correct muscular imbalances. 3.) Wellness Phase- Focusing on keeping you healthy once the problem has been corrected. This is accomplished through home care, nutritional advice, as well as periodic adjustments.

Prior to matriculation into chiropractic school, Dr. Ellis attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Additionally, Dr. Ellis finds proper nutrition extremely important to one’s overall health and holds a Masters degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Ellis is an avid weight lifter and competitive bodybuilder. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym, watching movies, hiking, and walking his dog, Titan.

He truly loves what he does and prides himself in getting people well and keeping them well in order for them to live the lifestyle they dream of.
